A native Baltimorean and graduate of Carver Voc-Tech High School, Community College of Baltimore, Coppin State University, and the extensive Business Skills Training Certification offered by Women Entrepreneur's of Baltimore, Inc., Shawntra´ has loved the game since the early 80’s growing up on the westside of Baltimore playing on hand built milk crates at the corners of Edmondson Avenue and Brice Street. Over the past five years, she has developed an even deeper desire to watch the game because of the exceptional talent of her son Corey Spence who attends Dunbar Senior High School and plays for Baltimore Select. To her, the game of basketball is definitely enjoyable, but has also opened other doors including owning and operating her own business “Shirts and Stuff, Inc.”, which offers imprinted apparel and other items to sports teams, and other local businesses including schools, churches, restaurants, etc.; Shawntra´ takes no credit for her successes, but gives all praise, glory, and honor to the love of her life, Jesus Christ.
